Vin D'AmicoHe Loves Fast Cars and Ozzie

Vin D'Amico founded Damicon, LLC, in 2003 because he was looking for fun, independence and profit. Apparently, Vin counts as his biggest success a six-figure client and his biggest surprise came in the form of discovering that marketing is easy compared to selling, which is a lot harder than it looks.

Vin’s wife Nancy works as a Medical Technologist at Lahey Clinic, in Burlington, MA. Their daughter, Laura is an IT Auditor at Ernst and Young, in NYC.

Eleven Things You Didn’t Know about Vin D'Amico

1.  If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, it would be… Peanut butter (can I have jelly with that?)

2.  If I weren't a business person, I would be a… Auto mechanic at a Mercedes dealership (I'd get to meet rich people and drive fast cars.)

3.  Something I would like to do, but haven't had the chance… Drive a Ferrari in the mid-west where the terrain is flat and the roads are endless.

4.  The last concert I went to… Sir Elton John (My wife made me go. I'd rather hear Green Day or Ozzie Osborne.)

5.  My favorite toy as a kid… Model race car set (I was always experimenting with ways to make them go faster and corner better.)

6.  When I'm not working, you'll find me… Tinkering (house, cars, yard, finances... it never ends). It's the "consultant" in me. Aren't consultants always tinkering with their client's businesses?

7.  My favorite TV show is… Currently: 24; Of all time: Twilight Zone

8.  If I could be any animal, I would be a... Tiger (big, fast and strong with a killer instinct)

9.  The last movie I saw was… Syriana (I didn't like it!). I prefer action or horror (preferably combined). Most movies bore me.

10. If I could have dinner with a famous person, dead or alive, he or she would be… Larry Page, Google Founder (May as well meet a rising star and see where the encounter leads.)

11. You didn't ask about the last book I read but I'm sure you're dying to know... 7 Moments...That Define Excellent Leaders by Lee J. Colan - Some of it is a re-hashing of old ideas but there are enough nuggets to make it worth the read.

Chris VasiliadisThis Italian Prefers Guacamole

Chris Vasiliadis married a Greek, but lays claim to being 100 percent Italian. (So, Chris. What’s with the Guacamole? Readers see below for an explanation.) She is the oldest of four children, with a sister and two brothers, from a very close Italian family, all who live locally, along with her parents and 3 grandparents. Chris and her husband, Peter (the Greek) have six nieces and nephews, ranging from 15-year-old Stevie to 3-year-old-twins Samuel and Olivia.

Her business, Signature Impact, Inc., was founded May 1, 2002. Like many of us, Chris experienced  a corporate layoff and company shutdown, and then she decided to do her own thing. Her biggest business success came when she re-branded and transformed her business from providing makeup services to providing marketing services. (Wow! Hats off to Chris from this editor.)

Ten Things You Didn’t Know about Chris Vasiliadis

4. My favorite toy as a kid…  Board games (especially Beat the Clock ) and Tonka trucks

5. When I'm not working, you'll find me… Reading a book or browsing a new or used book store

6. My favorite TV show is… The Apprentice (love seeing the marketing ideas they create and the individual/team dynamics) and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (love a good cry)

7. If I could be any animal, I would be a... bird (so I can travel any place and see any thing)

8. The last movie I saw was… The Count of Monte Cristo

9. If I could have dinner with a famous person, dead or alive, he or she would be… Ayn Rand (author of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged )
