Memo from the Prez

Winter 2005

"Good Show!"

With New England winter squarely on our minds, things can sometimes get as cold INSIDE as they are outside, especially where our practices are concerned. When business slows, or when a client project isn't going so well, the temperature in our offices can turn chilly as the questions mount:

"How could this happen?"
"What can I do about this?"
"What should be my next step?"
"Why me???"

As an IMCNE member, you may be forgetting how much help and resources are available to you, in good times and bad. Tap into our IMC-TALK, for example, and you can ask a question of your IMCNE colleagues on-line, or lay out a vexing scenario, then sit back and field seasoned suggestions and advice. Just click IMC-NE-TALK@yahoogroups.com and fire away.

Or maybe you're looking for ways to save some time by purchasing needed items online from the likes of Barnes & Noble, Land's End and Dell? Hurry over to our "one-stop" shopping at www.imcne.org by clicking thru to "Clickmall."

Need a partner for a joint venture… or simply want to learn more about a new practice area, skill or industry? Our member list is standing by now for your perusal! Visit www.imcne.org again, this time clicking on "Find a Consultant," and scouting about for a specialty that will help.

It's easy to forget all these many good resources awaiting you at IMCNE, and the even more good stuff coming your way in 2005, such as:

  • in-depth consultant profiles on-line
  • a formal coaching class for would-be CMCs
  • specialized networking events
  • long-term care insurance discounts at http://www.imcne.org/insur.html)
  • our monthly e-newsletter, IMCNE News & Views

As always, proceed to GO and thank your very hard working Board of Directors and their volunteer "Board associates" for all of this. Next time you attend an IMCNE event, a rousing "Good show!" just might be in order. One way or another, they've been working to make 2005 a great year to remember for us all.

President
