Charles River Canoe & Kayak, Newton, MA

IMCNE Special Event
Kayaking on the Charles — The Sequel
8:30 am - Noon

Last year, in keeping with the spirit of collegiality as well as our stated goal of "trying things," we organized a different kind of activity for all to enjoy: "Kayaking on the Charles." About 20 people came and had a great time. And this, despite the fact that it rained part of the time! Imagine how much fun it will be on a warm, sunny day (we can hope!).

Yes, we’re going to do it again, on Saturday, October 5 at Charles River Canoe & Kayak in Newton, from 8:30 a.m. – noon. Here is an opportunity for you to have some fun, get some exercise, and network with your IMC colleagues in a new way! Steve Paulson, president of Adventure Achievement™ Inc., will again lead us on this journey.

In addition to being introduced to kayaking, or improving your skills, you’ll learn how you can improve client results by using an experiential learning model to enhance many projects. Experiential learning has been shown to have a positive impact by empowering participants to create supportive learning environments in the workplace. This outing is for consultants, trainers, coaches, managers – anyone who wishes to experience outdoor learning and kayaking. It’s a great activity to share with a client!

No prior experience necessary! We’ll have you up and paddling in no time! It’s fun, safe, and good exercise. We’ll also provide a light snack (bring your own water). Fee includes kayak rental and all necessary equipment. Equipment must be reserved in advance, so please sign up early. If you wish to use your own kayak, just let us know and we will reduce the fee accordingly.
