A Spoonful of Sugar...

with Nick Miller, President, Clarity Advantage

A consulting engagement is serious business. It should generate lasting client change, yet many people don’t like change. They’ll resist it unless a) they see some benefit and b) they are fully engaged and energized; i.e. having fun. In this session, we'll focus on how to write "fun" into a work plan that leads to client change, sharing ideas from our own experiences and drawing inspiration from leading change theorists, including Tom Peters, Steven Pearce and… Mary Poppins.

Nick Miller assists companies to accelerate sales by streamlining and disciplining their sales, sales management, and marketing processes. During his 23 years as a management consultant, his clients have included Fleet Bank, Wachovia Bank, First Union Bank, Digital Equipment Corporation, GE Capital, AMP Incorporated, as well as over 100 other financial services, professional services, and technology companies. He is very serious about fun.

Developing Breakthrough Client Relationship

with Andrew Sobel, President, Andrew Sobel Advisors, Inc. and co-author of Clients for Life: How Great Professionals Develop Breakthrough Relationships

Are you a trusted client advisor who enjoys enduring client loyalty or an expert for hire? In a market populated by increasingly sophisticated clients and look-alike consultants, the only strategy is to add more value—but many professionals are held back from doing so by their expert-for-hire mentality. The differences are profound: Experts provide answers, advisors ask great questions; experts analyze, advisors synthesize; experts have professional credibility, advisors build personal trust; experts are specialists, advisors become "deep generalists" who have depth and breadth. Andrew, a leading authority on client relationships, will use examples of both great historical advisors and contemporary professionals to illustrate how to make this evolution.
