Dinner Program
The Feast or Famine Syndrome...
How to Market & Sell Your Way Out

with Lisa Dennis, President,
Knowledgence Associates
6:45 - 9:00 pm (networking 6:00-6:45 pm)

Whether times are good or bad, the "feast or famine" state is one that many consultants experience. In a down economy, that can shift to just famine. But moving past this pattern is not a function of the economy – it’s a function of your ability to build long-term relationships and to consistently market and sell the stories of customer value you have to tell. There are key steps that – while logical and simple – can be difficult to implement when you need the next gig and the phone isn’t ringing. In this session, we’ll talk about ways to:

  • Relationship Building for the long haul
  • Networking Realities and the Need for a Plan
  • Execution of low cost, high touch marketing
  • Value Propositions – it’s not about YOU!
  • Focusing on the customer, not your "expertise"
  • The power of customer stories
  • Letting the customers speak and sell themselves

Lisa Dennis brings twenty years of high technology and information industry experience to client engagements. She pairs hands-on marketing & selling of information and high technology products/services with end-user system enhancement and design experience for marketing and sales applications. Lisa understands what the customer imperative must be for communicating information about products and services to varied audiences. Her forte is an ability to strategically see the big picture, and implement solutions using process and training to scale an organization’s usable knowledge.

The focus of Knowledgence Associates is the transforming of marketing and sales information into customer knowledge. Lisa’s consulting practice includes marketing strategy and positioning, knowledge management for marketing, sales and customer satisfaction initiatives, and training development and delivery. Prior to founding Knowledgence Associates in 1997, she held publishing, product management and marketing/sales roles at Bolt Beranek and Newman, Thomson & Thomson, The Center for Business Intelligence, and World Congress.
