Robert D. Gatti

Robert D. GattiRobert D. Gatti is President of Gatti & Associates, a human resource search and placement firm located in Medfield, Massachusetts. Prior to founding this unique organization in 1985, Gatti was a Vice President in human resources with the Bank of Boston. In this capacity, he was responsible for a variety of activities including staffing and international human resources.

Twenty-five years of senior level human resource management experience in diverse industries highlight Gatti’s well-rounded career. In addition to his tenure with the Bank of Boston, he has held positions of responsibility with Westinghouse Electric, Compugraphic Corporation (now Agfa), Digital Equipment and Motorola. While at Digital, he participated in the very early development stages of their integrated employment resource management system. He is also a pioneer in the field of employee redeployment having written and lectured on this critical topic.

Gatti was formally recognized some years ago as the first official member of the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) and is the 1998 recipient of their Jack D. Erdlen 5-Star Award. Additionally he is a past President of the New England Chapter of The Human Resource Planning Society known as HRLF and has been on the Executive Committee of the Human Resource Council (HRC). He has also served on HR Today’s Board of Contributing Editors.

Considered to be a leading human resources strategist and trainer of human resource practitioners, he specializes both in the placement of human resources professionals and consulting around a variety of human resource department issues. He is also a principal in Career Strategies, Incorporated, a career-counseling firm in Boston, is the founder of the Human Resources Development Institute and principal owner of Xavier Associates. Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business communications from Emerson College where he has also been a member of their Board of Overseers.
