Course Description: In this session you will learn how to become an integral part of your client's organization and build long-term relationships as a valued consultant. Specific topics include:

  • The difference between experts and trusted advisors
  • Creating the building blocks of trusted relationships
  • How trusted advisors sell
  • What trusted advisors know
  • Next steps - how to implement

Pre-Session Assignment:

  1. Write a sentence or two on what differentiates you from others with whom you compete for consulting business.
  2. List 3 things you do specifically to build trust with clients.
  3. List the biggest challenges or obstacles you find to building client relationships.
