Join us for networking with the consulting community, dinner and a panel discussion featuring senior consultants from a number of specialties. The evening's discussion will revolve around the question Standing out in the crowd - Is professional certification just marketing hype or does it give you a leg up on the competition?

Our panel includes:

Diana Bishop, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Diana is Founder and President of Artemis Consulting, LLC, in Lexington, MA. Artemis Consulting provides business intelligence and project management consulting and services to clients in industry and government. Diana is VP of the Mass Bay Chapter of the Project Management Institute.

Wendy Capland, Master Certified Coach (MCC). Wendy is the Founder and CEO of Vision Quest Consulting in Westford , MA . Founded in 1987, Vision Quest Consulting consults, coaches, and advises executives and senior teams to leverage themselves as leaders increasing their impact, communications, and strategic relationships. Wendy is a founding member and past president of the International Coach Federation New England Chapter.

James O’Connor, Jr., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). Jim is the Founder and President of The O’Connor Group in Bedford, MA. Jim brings experience and expertise in finance, operations, legal, business planning, refinancing, and acquisitions and divestitures. His professional affiliations include memberships with the Turnaround Management Association, Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jack Veale, Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Jack is the Founder and Principal of PTCFO, Inc., in West Hartford, CT. A nationally recognized management consultant for privately held, family owned businesses, Jack specializes in Strategic & Succession Planning, Board Formation, ESOP implementation, Systems Development and Credit Packaging, and Part-Time CFO services. Jack is the current Chapter President of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

The panel will be moderated by Brooks Fenno, Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Brooks founded SALESMARK, a full-service marketing and sales consulting company serving small and mid-sized manufacturing and business-to-business service companies since 1970. Brooks is a former president of the New England chapter of The Institute of Management Consultants and member of IMC's National Board of Directors.
