Business Development SIG
The SPC/IMCNE Business Development SIG (Special Interest Group) comprises consulting practices, independent professionals, and other organizations who strive to develop and enhance their business. The SIG was established to help members develop disciplined and action oriented business development programs for their business or organization. A business development program includes marketing assessments to identify target markets, relationship marketing, lead generation and qualification, sales, customer and competitive intelligence gathering, and ultimately proposal writing. The group meets on a monthly basis and a variety of business development topics are discussed, including:
- How to create a compelling value proposition
- Creating the right prospect base
- Pitching to prospects
- Closing the deal
- Common business development challenges
- Success stories and challenges in business development
- Methods for creating an integrated business development plan
- Effective tools and methodologies used in dealing with growth issues
- Best business development practices
- Recommended resources, such as books, seminars, web sites, etc. for growth planning
- etc.
Who Should Attend
Our group is for quality, experienced professionals who can add value to our group's experience in the following ways:
-
Those who are willing to share about their practice in a way that educates the group as to their expertise and offering. (We have been doing this by having individuals share client case studies that speak to the type of businesses they work with, and the kind of value they add as practitioners).
-
Those who are willing to raise questions and issues with regard to growing their practice and building their capabilities - for all of us to add our support or to be devil's advocates.
-
Those who are willing to communicate useful information, generate connections, share contacts, and build collaborations with other practitioners (what we call the "4Cs Rule").
Join John Jaddou and Harvy Simkovits, CMC at Rebecca's café.
This is an invitation-only meeting. There is no cost for attending
