| In 2006-07, you will see significant changes in our IMCNE programming.
Evening Programs: We will continue to offer our traditional evening programs four times this year. They will look and feel like meetings of the past: we’ll have networking, dinner and speakers. But our speakers will be almost exclusively consultants that have excelled in their fields. We hope these programs will be a conversation and the evening programs will be a place where our entire community convenes once a quarter to catch up. Visit our Calendar for more information.
Professional Emphasis Groups (PEGS) – These are small interest groups organized by consulting specialties or industries (i.e. healthcare, owner managed business, marketing, finance, etc.) to assist with consulting practice business development issues. These groups have a regular meeting time and place. PEG’s usually are lead by one or two people that design each month’s content. Click here for more information on current PEGS. In 2006-07, we are also launching two new types of programming. This change was prompted by the observation that some of the best experiences in our organization (and, indeed, in most organizations) occur through small group interaction. Most of our members join IMCNE to both increase their knowledge as well as increase their networks. And nothing compares with a small group for accomplishing both of these goals. We also see this programming as a vehicle for our members to:
- Feature your expertise
- Publicize your firm
- Build your network in the consulting community
Read on to find out how you can build your own business while becoming part of the success of IMCNE. Consultant Roundtables The new Roundtable Program was inspired by the long-running Breakfast Brainstorms of the past. Only this time, Roundtables will have a different leader every time. The location will vary depending on the interest of the Roundtable leader. The topics will vary from building your business to being a better consultant.
- Do you have experience or expertise that would be interesting to our community?
- Do you have a question that you would like answered and feel that others would too?
- Would you like to get a group together in your area of expertise or in your own neck of the woods? (New England is a big area and we can hold roundtables anywhere from Down East Maine to the Housatonic)
Then We Want You To Lead a IMCNE Roundtable Program! Send us your idea via the Roundtable Proposal Form and become part of this exciting new program. For more information, contact Linda Watson at the Whirlaway Group 508-400-3011 or

CMC Summits
Some of our most experienced members have pursued and received certification as a management consultant by IMC USA. Our CMC’s want and need a way to feature and build their unique expertise. So we have created a new type of programming called the CMC Summit. These programs will feature a CMC and one of their clients in a workshop format. Attendance at these programs is limited to CMC’s only. This programming will also be run through a proposal process. If you are a CMC and want to apply, please fill out the CMC Summit Proposal Form. For more information, contact Mary Adams, CMC, Trek Consulting LLC, 781-729-9650,
